Applicant Requirements

  • A reasonably geared level 80 Horde character on Anetheron US-PvP (or willingness to transfer).
  • A high level of competency. This means being able to play every spec of your class at top-tier and having in-depth knowledge of the game in general.
  • A likeable and friendly attitude.
  • The ability to use a mic and speak on Ventrilo.
  • A very stable connection and a high profile computer system. We never want to hear “net lag” or “graphical lag” as an excuse for dying, unless the server as a whole is experiencing 1k+ ms.
  • A very high level of activity. We are not interested in people who just log on to raid.

We promote a social guild environment in and out of raiding. We like to host guild events, ranging from PvP together, to doing dailies together. More importantly, and we have received plenty of positive feedback from new members pertaining to this; we are very easy to talk to on vent and don’t have a cliquey atmosphere.

This leads to a lot of enjoyable late night ventrilo conversations that everyone is eager to participate in and listen to. Topics range from talking about WoW to TV shows to the tastiest foods.

Raid Schedule

We raid anywhere between 16-20 hours per week; usually on the lower end of that spectrum. Our raiding days are currently Monday through Thursday, 9pm-1am EST.

Once content is put on farm status, our raid times will shift towards the beginning of the week (Tuesday and Wednesday).

If your class isn't listed above and you still want to join Riot Act, feel free to apply. We will always find a way to fit a stellar player into our ranks. What does stellar mean to us? Any of the points listed below.

  • Raid-leading experience in a competitive, progression-oriented guild.
  • Multi-class competence. You can play more than one class, and every spec of said class, at a top-tier level.
  • Gladiator-level PvP experience.
  • If you are a DPS class applying, or hybrid with near-BiS DPS gear; you must be able to perform spectacular DPS on a consistent basis.

Application Tips

  • Make sure it's well written and detailed. If you don't spend time on it, why should we?
  • Include combat logs from WoL or WWS. If you don't have access to them, screenshots of damage meters will do.
  • Include any recorded footage of you playing your class in a high-PvE/PvP setting.
  • Include anything that demonstrates that you can be more than just another skilled player joining the guild (e.g. video editing ability, article writing prowess)
