“Haste in Cataclysm
Haste will basically remain the same for casters. It is changing for melee classes, however. Haste will also allow melee classes to recover their resources more quickly, effectively letting them hit their buttons more often.”

Now, considering he uses the word also in his wording, this would mean that not only will we be swinging faster, but energy regen will also be increased. This sounds amazing, almost too good and I don’t see this change going live without an update to how haste mechanics affect casters. Now if this simply means that haste will no longer increase our melee speed and simply increase our energy regen I’m not sure how I’d feel about the change and it could even imply a nerf to haste. Until we know how much energy regen per point of haste we receive, it’s all speculation but still an interesting change to one of our higher valued stats.

To gem: Armor pen vs. Haste vs. AP :| tag:riotactguild.com,2010:forum/viewthread/.133 2010-02-14T02:05:41Z phidz So what is it? With combat and mutilate it seems to be AP but I see Taryssa with armor pen. I have even seen some rogues gem full hit and some T10 full haste. None match the dps output of a Mutilate AP rogue tho. So why the diversity in RA? or does it seem to even out no matter what you gem for to stack?

Crit cap change? tag:riotactguild.com,2010:forum/viewthread/.111 2010-02-07T11:07:17Z Casagrande I heard that you can now eliminate the last 4.8% of hits (boss level crit suppression) by increasing your chance to crit. If this is the case, it effectively raises the crit cap by 4.8%. Have you guys heard anything about this, or seen any proof?

Useful rogue links / addons tag:riotactguild.com,2010:forum/viewthread/.29 2010-01-23T21:15:58Z 2010-01-24T10:09:33Z Flerixa Rather than creating another thread like tary did on our old forums which must of taken him alot of time. Ill just throw a couple threads in here which should answer most questions one may have about rogues.

Both those threads have pretty much everything you need to know about rogues, read the first post of each and you can now play a rogue. Note: This thread is made for people who may have alts, I realize our mains know most of everything in both those threads.

This add on is something I cannot play without. You can set up several bars around your UI which display timers on whatever you need. Whether it be your Envenom buff cooldown, time left on SnD, time left on HfB, buffs such as zerking procs / specific trinkets so you can time your CD usage with certain procs. I could not play a rogue without this addon anymore.

WARNING: I did not download ntk from that above URL so I cannot verify that the file source is safe, but considering it comes from curse I’d assume it’s ok. I downloaded my copy of ntk from wowinterface.

http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/combo-points-redux.aspx

this add on is useful for making combo points more visible when using custom UI’s such as pit bull and you don’t feel like playing around with your config for several hours to get the points exactly where you want them to show.
