With the gear available today there is no single definitive Best In Slot list for a resto druid, but there are some very good personal ones and a general guideline you can follow. No matter how you gear up, you should keep the haste rule in mind.

Haste Cap for 1 sec GCD.
735 haste rating or 22.42% with 3/3 CF and full raid buffs.
856 haste rating or 26.09% without CF but full raid buffs.

Right now the wishlist I have that does not include any heroic ICC gear, nor tribute cloak from togc. This is also under the assumption I’m aiming for 3/3 celestial focus in my build and under 800 haste.

The tricky part of making a updated list is due to keeping the haste cap each piece may or may not be a definitive upgrade until you can balance out the equation. The Royal Scepter from LK25 Heroic would actually be a higher upgrade due to the fact you could drop celestial focus, but this is more of a personal choice for me.

I think id prolly use the cloth chest from heroic Princes and get my 4 piece with the shoulders. Also i dont like how you skip all your socket bonuses to gem pure SP, the more stats the better for a healer imo, gemming like a dps seems strange to me.

Oh and legendary is still debatably better then heroic trauma still. So i heeear anyways! :)

The idea behind this list is staying within leather gear. If i deviated to cloth, I would have put in Plague Scientist Boots as well. Considering the large amount of cloth casters our guild has, eventually we will be able to acquire gear outside of our armor class but until then I know that I would never roll against them.

Again as I stated this is a person pick. There is no one singular BiS list for resto druids. None of our druids have Valanyr, and we do not run Ulduar so adding that to the list would be counter productive. Mostly this list was just created because Para cannot be bothered with doing the research on his own.

I do absolutely and completely disagree with you about the gemming. Druids gem for pure spellpower for end game when their meta and haste cap is met. Especially with the meta that I chose to run with, and with raid buffs my gear can fully support my healing style. At this point I’m feeding innverates to DPS anyways, and tide and hymn all but completely fill my bar on the chance it’s low. I’d say Druids have the advantage of almost having too efficient spells when played correctly. I would gladly trade whatever 20 int or 30 spirit blue/orange gems would give me for the added spellpower.

Im no expert on the min mazing stuff. So your prolly right about the gems. BUt you gotta get t10 shoulders! Its the best lookin part of t10 imo. And if you cant look pretty out of tree form then whats the point?!

Atraiyu nerd raged at me for getting t10 shoulders first cuz i thought they looked cool.

The 277 shoulders look amazing, I was so tempted to get them as my first piece (even though they should be 4th).

t10 shoulders and the frost tipped ones have exactly the same model, so it doesn’t matter. And they are ugly anyways… wtb stormraged! Big bear paws!!
