I listed All Plate BiS only because leather loot will be trash for plate users come 4.0, which should be release before Cataclysm even comes out.

Switching from All STR BiS to All BiS , ret only gain less than 200 dps. It’s not worth it taking 5-6 pieces of agi loot just to gain 200 dps for a couple months, when others could’ve used it more.

However, certain frost emblem gear (ex: leather belt) surpasses all 264 plate gear. It is advice to get that ASAP after getting 2 piece t10. Just remember to bank a plate replacement for every leather piece you use.

Quick Badge Gear Progression: (for alt)

Frost Emblem:
glove/shoulder 251 t10 -> 264 leather belt -> 264 libram -> 264 boot/glove/cloak/trinket -> other t10 pieces

Triumph Emblem:
chest/leg 232/245 t9 -> crafted 245 leather bracer -> 245 agi/str ring -> 245 neck/trinket

The idea is that 2t9+2t10 is almost as good as 4t10 despite the ilvl difference. Therefore, get 2t9+2t10 ASAP, then focus on upgrading other slots.

btw, the new rep str ring is not as good as the agi ring. For 3.3 at least.
